Nepal: Creating Jobs through Micro-Finance

Self-employment creates rural employment and makes the sustainable individual/family. Many rural areas have been devastated since the April 2015 earthquake and people are unable to restart their lives with little or no money. Project will focus on this pressing issue of rural unemployment and under-employment especially since the earthquake.

Since the world has witnessed the successes of small businesses (popularly known as microenterprises), the process of micro-enterprise development also begins with individual, family and social mobilization. Based on the resource potentials and entrepreneurial capability, the process of micro-enterprises creation begins. For income generating activities, project provides seed money one time to launch activities and become the self-reliance. There have been a wide variety of income generation projects which will successfully empowered many people to break out of their poverty cycle by building on their skills and resource. Just a few are featured below. Project aim to support 5 families in year of 2016 and will continue the project ahead as well.

We are looking for grants of NZ $500 for helping each micro enterprise get started.
